Services
Nuvant provides demo-first website subscriptions for independent local businesses in Washington, DC — including cafés, coffee shops, restaurants, laundromats and home-service trades. Services include website design, hosting and edits according to your selected plan. Your agreed plan and any written service details describe what is included.
Free demos
Free demos cost nothing and create no obligation to subscribe. We may use publicly available business information to prepare a demo. A demo is a preview, not a statement that the business has hired or endorsed us.
We may update or unpublish demos, including at a business owner's request. Claiming a demo starts a conversation about next steps; it does not create a paid subscription.
Subscriptions and billing
Online checkout is not live yet. When payments are enabled and you agree to subscribe, subscriptions will be month-to-month and billed monthly in advance. There is no setup fee.
Any plan changes or additional work should be agreed with us before they are billed.
Taxes
Prices exclude applicable DC sales tax, which is added to each invoice at the rate in effect on the invoice date. The rate is set by the District of Columbia and can change, for example the increase currently scheduled for October 1, 2027. Rate changes set by law are not price increases under these terms.
Cancellation, ownership and buyout
Plans are month to month with no contract. You can cancel any time with 30 days' notice. Your site stays live through your last paid billing period, then goes offline.
You always own your domain, logo, photos, menu and text, and we return them to you on request. Nuvant owns the website design, template and code; they are licensed to you while you subscribe, unless you buy them out.
The buyout price to keep the site after cancelling is (12 − paid months) × your monthly plan price. Each monthly payment pays for that month's service, and paid months count toward the 12-month ownership term. After 12 paid months the buyout is $0 and the site is yours, with a full export you can host anywhere.
For example, a Starter site cancelled after 1 paid month would cost 11 × $129 = $1419 to buy out.
The buyout uses the monthly plan price only — never add-ons or one-off work. Paid months add up across plan changes, and the buyout is priced at your current plan price. To cancel before the next charge, your notice must reach us before your next billing date. The export is the website's files only — pages, styles, images and text. It does not include the Nuvant dashboard, lead tools or admin systems.
Failed payments
If a payment fails, we retry it automatically for up to 14 days. If it still fails, the site is suspended. If the balance is still unpaid 30 days after suspension, the site is taken offline. Unpaid months do not count toward the 12-month ownership term.
Edits
A small edit is a change to existing content — hours, prices, menu items, text, photos or contact details — that takes under about 30 minutes. Starter includes 1 small edit request per month, Growth includes up to 10 small edits per month, and Pro includes up to 20 small edits per month. On Starter and Growth we aim to complete small edits within about 2 business days; on Pro we aim to complete small edits by the next business day. These are aims, not guarantees. New sections, redesigns and new features are quoted separately before any work.
Pro also includes one new page per calendar quarter, of similar scope to your existing pages; unused pages do not carry over to the next quarter. Pro includes a 30-minute quarterly review call covering your site and Google Business Profile, scheduled by mutual agreement.
Domains
Your domain is registered in your name. If we register it for you, we transfer it to you free on request at any time. You pay the domain registration fee directly to the registrar; it is not included in your plan.
Refunds
We do not refund partial months. Cancelling stops future billing.
Price changes
We give 30 days' notice of any price increase. Your monthly price is locked for your first 12 months.
Photos and takedown
Stock images we supply are licensed for use only while you subscribe, or after a buyout. You must stop using them otherwise, unless you license them yourself. If anyone claims that content on a site infringes their rights, contact us through the contact page and we will review and remove it where appropriate.
Hosting
We aim for reliable hosting but do not promise uninterrupted availability, and there is no uptime guarantee.
If Nuvant stops operating
If Nuvant ever stops operating, we will give at least 60 days' notice and a free export of your site files.
Owner dashboard and account security
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials private and for activity under your account. Use a strong password, keep your account email current, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Use the owner dashboard only for sites and records you are authorized to manage. Do not share private lead details with anyone who does not need them to provide the service.
Leads and service emails
Lead and contact notifications may be queued for email delivery when sending is enabled; delivery is not assured, and owners should check the dashboard for new leads.
Book, Reserve and Order buttons on a site link to the business's own third-party booking or ordering providers. Those services are provided by those companies under their own terms, not by Nuvant. Nuvant does not run a booking system and does not perform the underlying work or service.
Your content
You keep ownership of your business name, logos, text, photos and other brand assets. You grant us a license to use, adapt and display the content you provide as needed to build, host and maintain your website.
You warrant that you have the rights and permissions needed for the content you supply. Reviews you ask us to display must be real reviews from your business's own public profiles, with their source provided. We do not create customer reviews.
Nuvant retains ownership of the website design, template and code. They are licensed to you for the duration of your subscription, until you buy them out or complete 12 paid months.
Acceptable use
Do not use our services for illegal content, spam, misleading claims or infringement of others' rights. Do not misuse lead forms, submit abusive requests, attempt unauthorized access or interfere with the service.
We may restrict access or remove content when reasonably necessary to address misuse, legal obligations or security concerns.
No guarantees
We do not guarantee specific search rankings, traffic or leads. Services are provided "as is" to the extent permitted by law.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before a claim.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, subject to any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
